Going Into Active Labor

When to call our office at 616-588-1200

• If your water breaks
• Contractions every 5 minutes for one hour (unless instructed differently by your doctor)
• Decreased fetal movement

If you have an emergency after regular hours or on weekends, call our regular office line and our answering service will help you contact our on-call physician.  If this is a life-threatening situation, do not hesitate to call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. 

The Women’s Center Entrance at Spectrum Health - Ransom Avenue
 

• Our expectant moms and partners going to Butterworth Hospital to give birth should use the Women’s Center entrance on Ransom Avenue.  This includes active labor, scheduled inductions and scheduled C-sections. 
• The Women's Center entrance is open 24 hours a day.
