What is Menopause?
Menopause is defined as occurring 12 months after your last menstrual period and marks the end of menstrual cycles. It can happen in your 40s or 50s, but the average age for menopause in the U.S. is 51.
Symptoms of menopause can include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, and/or anxiety, although some women can go through menopause without any symptoms at all. If you are struggling with menopausal symptoms, speak with your provider; they can offer several options for treatment, including hormonal and non-hormonal therapies.
